It is important to keep your personal data, bank details etc secure online, so most people do keep their security software up to date and do not open any dodgy looking attachments from emails.
The latest one the police are highlighting is the "Law Abiding Person" approach - someone claims to have been sent personal data about you, all you have to do is open the attachment to find out what is there ... It would then give your computer Trojan malware which could lead to your bank account being raided.
